2 egg whites
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/3 cup water
1 teaspoon vanilla
- Combine all the ingredients except vanilla in a double boiler.
- Beat until mixed.
- Once the water comes to a boil, beat on high with a electric mixer for 7 minutes or until icing stands in peaks.
- Remove from heat.
- Stir in vanilla and beat again.
