  4. I made these into muffins but I didn’t use pecans and….it was alot of work, when you have to pour half, add struesel, then pour more batter! But they were well worth it! My daughter gave some to friends and her teacher and everyone raved! A must try! (i took pictures, but having camera problems, will upload if/when I fix it)

  5. I made this recipe into muffins and put the strusel on top…they were amazing!

  7. Hi I love your site! Just made my first starter today im so excited about it. Do you use cook and serve or instant pudding?

  8. Hi Brooke!

Aw, thanks! It’s always so nice to hear that (especially on those days when you think, am I the only one staring at all these Amish Friendship Bread recipes?!).

Use instant pudding and add it to the other ingredients dry, not prepared. Good luck!

    • Thank you! I can’t wait to make this I love anything apple. I’ve been looking at all the friendship bread variations never knew there was so many things you can make out of it. Pizza dough? Yes please! I will definitely be trying that one thank you for this wonderful site. Have a Merry Christmas!

  9. I omit the applesauce, diced apple, and nuts. I then follow the rest of the recipe exactly as directed using French Vanilla instant pudding. This makes a “TERIFFIC” coffee cake. I have taken these in to share with co-workers and the plate is empty with the hour. Everyone “LOVES” this recipe.
