Posted this on Facebook - but thought maybe I'd ask here too:

I'm sure it's probably a matter of preference, and undoubtedly has been asked and answered a zillion times before, but...

What seems to yield the best results when baking Amish Friendship Bread - and why?

1 small box instant pudding
2 small boxes instant pudding
1 large box instant pudding

I tend to use 2 small boxes, but some of my breads seemed to fall apart. Since I'm getting ready to bake again, thought I'd ask if too much pudding might be the problem.

Hi luvs2read!

Thanks for finding us over here at the Kitchen Table, too!

The Kitchen uses1 small box in most of the recipes it has tested & created. Some recipes we have used 2 small for the extra flavoring that is wanted from the pudding. From what we know, 1 large box is a smaller amount than 2 small boxes.

It does become a preference as to how many you use. We hope this helps. Check around here in the forum because others have asked this and it might help you decide on how much to use.

Keep on baking!

I've always used 2 small or 1 large - I've never tried using just 1 small and all my bread seems to come out fine.

When I use the box mix I only use one small box. I made pumpkin without the pudding just added a little extra sugar for the sweetness. I think it taste better to use the homemade pudding mixes using the same amount of ounces as the boxes.
