I am excited to be on day 10 of my first starter. In the instructions if says to divide in 4, which should equal 1 cup each bag but I have nearly enough for 2 cups x 4 bags. Why is this so? I have only used 1 cup for my bread recipe as instructed, and its in the oven smelling good!! :P

Sometimes a new starter produces more. It is ok, you did nothing wrong.
