“Soft and chewy cookie packed with a peanut butter punch!”

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 13-15 minutes
Servings: 50-100
Yield: 50 large, 100 small cookies

Ingredients

1 cup Amish Friendship Bread Starter
1 cup butter, soft
1 cup shortening
2 1/2 cups brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
3 eggs
2 teaspoons baking soda
5 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup peanut butter
1 cup of peanut butter chips
1/4 cup of sugar to top cookies

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350° F (176° C).
  2. Cream butter, shortening, peanut butter, eggs and sugars.
  3. Stir in rest of ingredients.
  4. Drop tablespoon size dough onto ungreased baking sheet.
  5. Sprinkle sugar on top of each cookie.
  6. Bake 13-15 minutes.
  7. ENJOY!

Kitchen Notes

Use a small cookie scoop for bite size cookies or two scoops for larger cookies. For other fun variations, toss in 1 cup of nuts and/or use chunky peanut butter.
