“The kids love it with frosting, and it’s also great with ice cream.”

Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 1 hour
Servings: 16
Yield: 1-9×13 pan

Ingredients

1 cup Amish Friendship Bread Starter
3 eggs
1 stick butter, melted
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups flour
1 small box instant chocolate pudding
1/2 bag of mini chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 325° F (165° C).
  2. Mix eggs, melted butter, milk and vanilla with the starter.
  3. Mix dry ingredients in a second bowl.
  4. Combine together.
  5. Add chocolate chips.
  6. Grease and flour a 9 x 13 cake pan.
  7. Pour batter into pan.
  8. Bake for one hour or until the bread loosens evenly from the sides and a toothpick inserted in the center of the bread comes out clean.
  9. ENJOY!

Kitchen Notes

This is a cake-like brownie, and fairly dense.
