Ingredients

1 cup evaporated milk
1 cup white sugar
3 egg yolk, beaten with 1 teaspoon water
1/2 cup butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon corn starch
1 cup chopped pecans
1 cup flaked coconut

Directions

  1. In a large saucepan combine milk, corn starch, sugar, egg yolks, butter and vanilla.
  2. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until thickened.
  3. Remove from heat and add pecans and flaked coconut.
