2 teaspoons coriander
5 tablespoons dried sweet basil
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
2 cups flour
2 small boxes instant French vanilla pudding

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 325° F (165° C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, add ingredients as listed.
  3. Grease two large loaf pans.
  4. Dust the greased pans with a sugar and sea salt.
  5. Pour the batter evenly into loaf or cake pans and sprinkle with more sugar and sea salt.

How much sweet basil do you use if it fresh sweet basil from your garden? I want to try this recipe.

This bread was unexpectedly good! I was a little worried when I made it but it turned out to have such a complex variety of flavors. I really loved the effect of dusting the pan with the salt and sugar.

Could this recipe be used for pizza dough or breadsticks?
