“Vegan variation of the original Amish Friendship Bread.”

Ingredients

Vegan Amish Friendship Bread Starter
3 eggs
1 cup oil
1/2 cup coconut milk
1 cup sugar
2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
2 cups flour
1 box vegan pudding mix

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350° F (178° C).
  2. In a large bowl combine and mix all the ingredients.
  3. Grease two large loaf pans.
  4. Dust the greased pans with a mixture of 1/2 cup sugar and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon.
  5. Pour the batter evenly into loaf or cake pans and sprinkle the remaining sugar-cinnamon mixture on the top.
  6. Bake for 1 hour or until the bread loosens evenly from the sides and a toothpick inserted in the center of the bread comes out clean.
  7. Remove from pans after 10 minutes.
  8. ENJOY!

Kitchen Notes

From Danielle Chilliwack: “It’s not quite as sweet as the original Amish Friendship Bread recipe but it’s pretty close. The vegan pudding mix was purchased at Superstore (Canada).”

      Hi Shelia
Yes this was a submitted recipe and I did notice the eggs in her recipe. If you bake with egg replacer then just do the same with this recipe. Feel free to submit any alterations to this recipe or your own Vegan recipes to the Recipe Box. Thank you!

It is my understanding that Vegans don’t use eggs so isn’t there a flavorless gelatin that you can replace for the eggs?
