The Friendship Bread books are a series of bestselling novels that follow the lives of the residents of Avalon, a small river town in Illinois. The Friendship Bread series are written by author and Kitchen Founder Darien Gee.
Published by Ballantine Books in the United States in 2011, Friendship Bread went on to publish in Turkey, Holland, Taiwan, France, Germany, Australia, Italy, New Zealand, Poland and Brazil. The book is available in both print and digital formats, large print, and audio. In 2012, Friendship Bread won the 2012 About.com Readers’ Choice award for best novel about friendship. The second novel in the series, The Avalon Ladies Scrapbooking Society, was published in 2013, also in the U.S. and abroad. The first holiday novella, An Avalon Christmas, was released in 2014.
