Drizzle this Vanilla Caramel Frosting onto your favorite Amish Friendship Bread for an extra caramel punch!

  • ½ cup butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 6 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 cups powdered sugar sifted
  1. In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt butter.
  2. Stir in brown sugar and salt. Bring to a boil and boil for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the milk and vanilla.
  4. Return to heat and bring to a boil while stirring.
  5. Remove from heat and allow to cool. Stir in powdered sugar and beat to desired consistency.
